Mapping with Google to be offered from June 10

Exciting news from Google, Google is now offering a new online course for its users to explore the world of mapping through Google Maps and Google Earth.

Mapping with Google is a self-paced, online course developed to help you better navigate the world around you by improving your use of the new Google Maps, Maps Engine Lite, and Google Earth.

Mapping with Google will be offered from June 10 - June 24 and by registering you can learn the best and most sorted out and accurate tools for mapping.

One could also choose among the course- to explore Google Earth, Google maps or both.In addition, you’ll have the option to complete a project, applying the skills you've learned to earn a certificate.All registrants will receive an invitation to preview the new Google Maps.

With the Google Earth you could do much more than mapping and direction. You can narrate your story through 3D walkthrough models and images and share your next vacation spot with your friends.

Google Maps Lessons & ProjectExplore features of the new Google Maps. Learn to create and share custom maps using Google Maps Engine Lite. Taught by Google Maps Product Managers Daniel Demetri and Beth Liebert.

Google Earth Lessons & ProjectDiscover the world using Google Earth. Learn how to create and share a tour of interesting locations that tells a 3D geographical story. Taught by Google Earth Product Manager Peter Birch.

The course comprises of audio~visual excercise and text lessons through a combination of fun activities, and projects.During the course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from Google experts and collaborate with a worldwide community of participants, via Google+ Hangouts and a course forum.
